Serene Landscape

Dan’s life journey started in Wisconsin, to Colorado and back to his beloved Wisconsin. A love of history impacts Dan’s paintings of old structures and the people and places that were inhabited in day’s gone by. His faith and time with nature reflects in his colorful nature scenes through impressionistic brush strokes and vivid color.

My inspiration is the constant change to the natural environment as seasons and lighting changes. The same scene is constantly impacted by these events. Watching the woods wake up as the sun rises is my favorite time of the day. Watching as the gradual changing light impacts the same view as the daylight increases is just incredible.

Watching as the wildlife begin their day and the bustle of activity creates such special activities to experience. As an artist, we pay attention to the world in contrasts in color, detail and light. God’s wonder is all around us; we just must take the time to experience these details and it’s beauty. My goal as an artist is to have the viewer experience the beauty, awe and passion I feel when in nature.
