Kay studied art at UW-Eau Claire from 1963 to 1967. She was an extremely talented artist specializing in watercolor.

During her career Kay has had many solo and group exhibitions and has received several awards for her works as an artist. She has been published in books, magazines, and calendars.

Kay's work continues to be displayed in many corporate and private collections throughout the United States, Canada, Russia, Japan, Western Europe, and Venezuela.

Kay's work was her life and she was outstanding in her field of expertise.
